GitPitch Presentations are now (Font) Awesome!

Over 600 Font Awesome icons now available for your slideshows.

Everybody loves Font Awesome icons for good reason. They are undeniably, awesome. And with over 600 icons to choose from there is pretty much an icon for every occasion. Even when taking a bath :)

So I thought it was time that GitPitch users should be given the opportunity to start making use of this fantastic icon set directly within presentation slides.

What better way to introduce this new feature than a GitPitch presentation that brings Font Awesome icons to life. Just click to focus on the GitPitch slideshow below and say hello to font awesome icons like you have never seen them before.

Effortlessly Awesome Icons

As with all things related to GitPitch, my motivation is to provide features that are simple, beautiful, and intuitive to use. Font Awesome icon support is no exception. GitPitch offers a simple syntax that can be used within any PITCHME.md to render Font Awesome icons within your slides.

It couldn’t be easier, for example:

@fa[thumbs-up]

Or if we want to get fancy, how about this:

@fa[thumbs-up fa-5x](Sounds great!)

This simple markdown snippet will render the Font Awesome thumbs-up icon on your slide, magnifying the icon to the size indicated. The additional label associated with the icon is optional.

Stylishly Awesome Icons

You may have noticed within the demo presentation above that icons are are rendered in many contexts, at dramatically different sizes, and using a wide range colors.
