As new technologies such as IoT and Machine Learning become more sophisticated, the timeline for ensuring they are inclusive is shortening. 5% of Fortune 500 company are led by female CEOs, while only 3% for tech companies. We must ask ourselves about the belief systems upon which new technologies are constructed. We all have a role to play in this decision, should we be given a chance to get a say? We need equal representation to potentially counterbalance biases each and every one of us carries. The Tech world is worse than anywhere else in this regard.
